கலையே அறிவின் விளக்கம் - அறிவே கலையின் அடக்கம்
Art is Visible Wisdom - Wisdom is Hidden Art.

அறிவு செய்தி அறிவு (knowing), தொழில் அறிவு (doing) என்ற நிலைகளைக் கடந்து துய்ப்பாக (being) மாறும் போது கலை ஆகின்றது. ஆகக் கலை என்பது முதிர்ந்த அறிவின் அடக்கமாக (புதையலாக) மிளிர்கின்றது. 

ஒன்று வேலையாக இருக்கும் வரை அஃது அறிவு. அது துய்ப்பாக (enjoyment) மாறும் போது கலை. எது கலை அல்லவோ அது வேலையாக அழுத்துகின்றது. எது வேலை இல்லையோ அது கலையாகக் களைப்பைப் போக்குகின்றது. ஓய்வு என்பது வேறு வேலையே. Rest is only change of work.

The above slogan in Tamil reveals one dimension of it and in English another dimension of it which is how each is hidden in the other. Pinnacle of art is a visible wisdom and attainment of wisdom is a hidden art. Art makes wisdom ponderable. Wisdom makes art penetrable.
